Through an interview with Screen Rant to promote his new movie Ready Player One [browse our review], The unbelievable Hulk and The Avengers screenwriter Zak Penn has revealed that he's about to begin work on a puzzle new Marvel job.
"I think I'm likely going to come back," explained Penn. "I believe I am gonna do you more Marvel, one more job from the Marvel Universe. I'm about to start doing, however...I must check and see if I am permitted to say what it is. For the most part, I had a long run on comic book movies, and I was sort of eager to, you understand, just make it can be really crushing, you understand, occasionally..."
Although Marvel Studios has said on many occasions that its only focus at present is about completing Phase Three of the MCU with Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, the studio will of course have a relatively firm idea of its Stage Four plans, and it's possible that Penn has been brought in to operate on one of these projects. That having been said, he doesn't specify Marvel Cinematic Universe, so it may also be among numerous projects in development at Fox and Sony.
Penn is also working on a Matrix sequel/spinoff/reboot, also has shown that the job is still moving ahead and is just one of many items he is presently working on.
